The Savant Elite triple action foot switch can help you get more work done and feel better by relocating your mouse clicking action to your feet. The Savant Elite can resolve your pain associated with mousing by offloading work from an overused finger or hand. Other models available are the Dual action foot switch or the Single action foot switch.
The Savant Elite triple action foot switch comes pre-programmed to activate right and left mouse clicks, plus a middle mouse button action where a third pedal or input is present. (For the ultimate in flexibility, the mini-phono input jack model supports an optional fourth pedal or hand trigger.) You can also create macros for repeated tasks, activate mouse clicks, or trigger any key action or modifier such as shift or tab. It can be easily reprogrammed on a Windows PC to perform any keyboard action or key combination. Through extensive user testing, proper spacing and orientation of each pedal was determined to maximize comfort and productivity. Furthermore, the outer pedals may be adjusted inward to accommodate smaller feet.

Available Options:
- Savant Elite triple action foot switch with input jack for optional hand trigger or fourth pedal
- Additional pedal; for use with jack equipped models or the stand alone control module
- Hand trigger; the hand trigger is equipped with a mini-phono plug and a 8 foot long cable. It is intended to connect to a jack-equipped Savant Elite foot switch (FS20AJ-USB or FS30AJ-USB) or to a stand-alone control module (FSMJ2-USB or FSMJ4-USB). Applications include tasks where both foot and hands need to execute repetitive tasks. The Savant Elite device may be configured so that the hand trigger duplicates a foot pedal action, or adds an additional action.

- All models are UL recognized for near-patient use.
- Select one, two, or three pedals, or a jack-equipped model supporting an optional hand trigger.
- The Savant Family of foot switches are used extensively with Intraoral Radiography hardware and software including Kodak's (Practice Works) TROPHY RVGui Digital Radiography System and Softdent Software.
- Current applications include digital radiography systems, endoscopy & ultrasound.
- Use in the examination room with any equipment accepting a USB input device.
- Consider the optional input jack version to connect a hand trigger for alternate use.
Windows Compatibility
- Requires available USB port, plug and play compatible with most systems having USB ports.
- Uses generic drivers provided by the operating system with Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP & Vista
- Re-programming driver available on the Support section of our web site for Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP
- For Vista users foot switch must be re-programmed in either 2000, XP or factory pre-programmed. A CD ROM is available upon request for a minimal charge.
- Full functionality of mouse clicks with Windows 2000, XP & Vista
Mac Compatibility
- Requires available USB port
- Uses generic drivers provided by the operating system (OS 8.6 - 10.X)
- Only OS X offers full functionality of left and right mouse clicks. A third party driver must be installed for middle mouse button (may be found at www.usboverdrive.com)
- Note: Modifier actions from one USB device cannot modify the input of a second USB device due to limitations designed into the Mac operating system.
- Example: Shift, Control, Command, or Option keystrokes programmed into the footswitch cannot modify the input of a separate USB keyboard or mouse. However, a key sequence like 'Cmd-W' or 'Cmd-Shift-left arrow’ will work on a Mac if the entire sequence of keystrokes has been pre-programmed into the footswitch. (Footswitch can only be programmed on a Windows PC).
Linux, Sun and other Non Windows Platforms
- Requires available USB port.
- Uses generic drivers provided by the operating system
- Due to the heterogeneity in these platforms, we cannot guarantee compatibility with these systems. (If your system can use any USB mouse and keyboard, it will probably work with a Savant or Savant Elite foot switch.)
- Re-programming drivers are not available for these systems; the user is advised to re-program the foot switch on a Windows-based PC system
- Mouse click actions may not be supported on these systems. However, based on our limited experience with these platforms we have yet to encounter any incompatibility issues.
