The Kinesis Freestyle™ adjustable split ergonomic keyboard serves as an enhanced traditional compact keyboard but offers users the additional ability to splay and separate the two keying modules. Featuring simple, sturdy adjustment mechanisms the Freestyle is intuitive to configure and use. Ergonomically designed accessories provide features never before available from just one computer keyboard design. Four optional accessory packages are available to enhance your keyboard ergonomics; the Freestyle Incline™, the Freestyle VIP™, the Freestyle V3™ and the Freestyle Ascent™ can be purchased to provide additional capabilities. The Kinesis Freestyle family offers the most configurations of any ergonomic keyboard. These accessories allow the user to choose features that offer complete separation and/or adjustable front splay, adjustable or fixed tenting, plus integrated and removable, padded palm supports.
The Freestyle ergonomic computer keyboard is a breakthrough in ergonomic design. Created with input from ergonomists and health professionals, the Freestyle adapts to the specific needs of each user, while providing a stylish accent to any workstation. The Freestyle’s sleek low profile design has a zero degree (0°) slope, which minimizes the height, effectively creating negative slope and reducing wrist extension. The narrow footprint (only 15-3/8 inches wide) allows for comfortable mousing and keying and for close placement of any pointing device, reducing over reach issues. Additional unique features of the Freestyle keyboard include driverless hot keys for mouse intensive actions (Internet Page Forward and Back, Search, Home, Cut, Copy and Paste), an embedded 10-key (simply press the "Fn" key to toggle between the embedded 10-key and the alphanumeric keys) and quiet, tactile key switches. The Pivot Tether™ allows both modules to be connected together allowing an infinite range of splay.
Also available is the Extended Separation FreestyleTM adjustable split keyboard, which is perfect for individuals requiring greater separation than the 8 inches that is provided by the standard Freestyle Solo. This version of the Freestyle Solo provides up to 20 inches of separation between the left and right keying module. Ideal for positioning a 10-key, trackball or touchpad in the space between each module.
